Pro Tools 130: Pro Tools for Game Audio
Pro Tools 130 provides students with exposure to the core skills, workflow, and concepts involved in creating and implementing game audio using Pro Tools systems. This course covers basic sound design techniques for both Macintosh and Windows systems. - Understanding the game audio workflow, basic terminology and technology used by game developers, and how audio is placed into games
- Common techniques for assessing, acquiring, recording, editing, mastering and implementing game audio
- Field recording and importing audio into Pro Tools
- Working with dialog, Foley, and FX and learning how to prepare audio to be "game ready"
- Creating and preparing for an interactive music score; linear vs. non-linear and interactive media
- Creating smooth loops for ambiances and music by utilizing Dynamic Transport mode
- Creating, recording, and managing sound effects such as footsteps, weapon sounds, vehicles and background effects
- Editing techniques, shortcuts and modes that will speed up and maximize efficiency
