Student Testimonials

I am extraordinarily thankful to (Mark Kirchner) for bridging some important gaps along this journey. I especially enjoyed the way this particular series of exams (Pro Tools 101 to Pro Tools 210) covered the entire spectrum of expected learning. Thanks to The Recording Arts Center, I really do feel pretty confident about my abilities with Pro Tools and have already begun to try my hand at engineering with my Control|24 setup at the University. I'll be sending some of my work in the near future.

After the third day of class I was able to connect via MIDI and had the confidence to use the plug-ins on my Pro Tools system at home.

Thank you for everything! My son had a great time and learned a lot!

Frequently Asked Questions

When/how often are courses offered?
We offer a minimum of three training courses each month. View the schedule to determine the date and times that are best for you!

If I sign up for more than one course, do you offer a discount?
Some courses are grouped into programs and are discounted off the a la carte price. We also offer very competitive rates, discounted "lab time" fees and convenient payment options.

Will taking one or more of your training courses lead to an internship at a recording studio, or a career in the recording industry?
While previous training participants have gone on to secure internships, or have advanced their careers, we do not guarantee that this will be the end result of any of our courses. We want to provide you with effective, affordable training and the tools to develop or enhance your musical skills. The rest is up to you!

Can I take a tour before I sign up for a course?
Absolutely! Call 858-592-0556 and ask to speak to Amy to schedule your tour.

How do I find out about future training offerings?
Use our Contact Form or send an email with Mailing List in the subject line to amy@tracsd.com and we will add your name to our Training Mailing List. We will only use your address to keep you informed of training-related items, and will not share this information with any outside sources. Regular updates are also posted on this site, our MySpace page, and our blog.

How many students are in each course?
In our North County location we admit a maximum of eight (8), and TRAC downtown can accommodate a maximum of ten (10) students. Some high level courses, such as Pro Tools 210 and 310, will be limited to 4 students per session to allow for training on large worksurfaces.
